[Ana Consultancy] Bloggers Makeover Event

If you have been following me on Twitter, you know what I'm doing lately.

Since June, I have been working in Ana Consultancy on a part time basis. My frequently mentioned lady boss is Juliana Cheong who is also the key image consultant here.

Thanks to Rebecca who arranged the Frotera eat out, I met her with May who is also a trainer for Ana Consultancy. Both of them are amazing people. They are the first few inspiring people when I first got out of the vicious cycle which I was enduring for more than two years.

What a memory...

In May, Juliana approached me and offered me a chance to undergo an apprenticeship with her. I did not give too much thoughts to it and I said yes. That was simply because I have faith in her and apparently, it is still going well!

Juliana have been very supportive and she never said no to all the initiatives I've suggested to her. In fact, she taught me how to be more business minded $$. Which is good, of course! I have been not making money since the first internship...

Here is the first social media project we worked out last month with the sponsorship from TANGS. We got eight bloggers to undergo the makeover session. I really really had a lot of fun with them. I have to admit that I lost myself in between =P

Before the makeover, Ana had a private conversation with them to understand each blogger. How you dress yourself forms the impressions that you want others to have over you. Simply put, it is the FIRST IMPRESSION.

Ana talked about the general life goals, the obstacles in life, personal philosophy, emotional stepbacks in the personal consultation. It's like a counseling session already! She sure knows what she is talking about after years of spiritual enhancements. To her, this is crucial. If you do not know a person well enough, you're barely competent to help him/her. What's more than something people put on to face the public everyday?

Here are the great bloggers I met during the private personal consultation:-

3. Vivien Sam (http://www.vvens.com/)

7. Thomas Yap (http://yapthomas.com/)

8. Joshua Ong (http://joshuaongys.com/)

After the meet, the bloggers are to submit their 3 capsules using polyvore. Ana and I will then pre shop for them before the actual event in TANGS. Speaking of that, I am so glad that TANGS is able to sponsor the venue and loan us the clothes for the event. What more, they even sponsor us lunch! Island Bistro was quite cozy except that it can be very cold. I like to sit outside of it. It's nice to have a drink after a long walk in the mall with a great company and some fags. *sidetracked*

After meeting all of them, Ana and I, along with Sasha (the hyper videographer) went to TANGS to do the pre shopping and "field" research.

Pictures taken to test the lighting in the room

I guess I no longer post with normal expressions these days =P

The pre shopping was super tiring wei... 3 full set of apparels each bloggers then sum up to 24 sets per blogger! I'm glad that the concept store is not too huge...

On that day, everyone gathered by the entrance by 10am. I was already running up and down to gather their outfits while the bloggers were chilling in the VIP room.

Wearing super high heel while carrying all the clothes...

While I was carrying the clothes from each department, Ana gave them a briefing and their "before" pictures were taken.

All of them look like as though they just woke up. Lolz.

Next, they started trying on the clothes. *Pictures are not in order*

Ok, done with the proper pictures, time for the candid shots!

Actually, I had my little makeover too!

Fav Lady Gaga Youtube Covers

I thought Lady Gaga was seeking attention. No doubt, I personally think she is. However, no one should doubt her talents in music. I have my hair stand every time I pay attention to her songs.

I love Lady Gaga! (In fact, I thought I wanna be Lady Gaga this Haloween =P I even did a search on the makeup I should get from Michelle Phan!)

Here I wanna list my favorite covers of "Bad Romance"

1. Lissie - fantastic voice! I love the smoothness!

2. 30 Seconds to Mars

3. Paramore

4. I love this trio. Thought the guy on the left is cute =P

5. I think she's great! A little lack of emotion though...

6. Glee, of course =)

[Reflection] Going the Distance

Taken in GSC Signature

Thought 1:-

Haven't you tried long distance relationship? As much as you love the person, you want to be with him/her. It is ridiculously unbearable till you meet each other again. Did that, went there and no more.

We are grown ups and we have choices. I can choose to stay in the relationship and when we meet each other again, we will have super hot sex! Ooops, I mean the fire will be burning bright again!

The opportunity cost is rather high. Whose shoulder can I cry on when the superiors and seniors bully me at work? Whom shall I make out with when I feel like it? (evolutionary perspective: human have THAT needs) Whose place can I crash when my house mates are being idiots?

Insecurity is the greatest enemy. When you start wondering what he/she is doing at the other side of the world and as crazy thoughts kick in,

"Is he dry humping the sexy waitress?"

"Is she in the arm of a hot Spanish dude?"

That's horrible. I can die.

Thought 2:-

I thought it is time for me to have faith in boy/girl love despite the painful experiences.

They live happily after. Why not?

Shyt, I need to settle my insecure problem soon or I will die alone...

Bino 'Q' Lost

I always like to watch the international screens in the cinema. I like movies with deep meanings. Some of my friends thought I pay to torture myself but I think otherwise. These movies rejuvenate my empty soul. *exaggerating*

International screen of this week:- Bino 'Q' Lost

There are 3 stories in the movie.

1. The gangster with conscience and his Malay girlfriend
2. Single mother who strives for life with son.
3. Husband mourning over the loss of the wife.

It is about freedom.

What would you do for freedom?

Will you risk you life or the others for freedom?

What is freedom to you?

The red fish can always swim in the water. When will the legs grow so it can go to the shore? Will that be considered freedom? What is the precedents for freedom? How should that feel like?

Why do we want to be free?

Levi's Fit Finder Festival

This is a super dated post.

Anyhow, I thought I should share this with you.

As I join Ana Consultancy, I am made to be more aware of the current affairs in the relevant industries including fashion. I received an email from TIC about this event and that Michelle Yong (check out her blog too!) will be taking pictures!

I was so thrilled about it and I dragged Danny with me.

The promoter was friendly. She got a friend of hers to measure my waist and my hips and she first ticked slight curve. Danny at once said, "Impossible!" *blushed*

There are three types of shapes that they determined for you after the measures:
1. Slight Curve
2. Demi Curve
3. Bold Curve

Once your curve is identified, you will choose the kinds of cutting you want:-
1. Skinny
2. Straight
3. Boot

I go for boot cut. Always. It compliments figure better or I should say, others do not suit me T_T

I tried 2 and I decided to purchase my very first Levi's jeans.

Makeover session follows after the purchase.

Before the Makeover

Ming curled my hair and you know what I think? I don't quite like it... thought I looked rather old. But hey, it looked much better when it begins to get straight at night as I went clubbing. Ooops... =P

Some pictures after getting the hair done:-

Danny & I

I like the cube like thing which I stood for photoshoot. Felt like a real model =P

I got a print of my picture after the photoshoot. I didn't know they are also giving me some of the freebies and vouchers too!

With a fitting jeans, you do not have to

1) flash your moon

2)let others know that you can do muffin top

3) tell the world that you are a mother in making

Purchase wisely and you'll have no regrets! <3
